Alex Andreyev is an artist living in Saint Petersburg. He has been drawing and painting for over twenty years. He is currently currently is working on the concept art for a movie called Kin-Dza-Dza. It looks interesting. He has tried various techniques, including traditional inks, pens, brushes and also experimented with digital art. Now he uses Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter, just brushes, no fancy stuff or filters. By using a limited toolset he is able to achieve stylistic consistensy throughout his artwork. He seems to focus more on expresion of his creative concepts than on technology or tools. While working in a digital medium, he is free of limitations of traditional tools, such as drying of oil paint, changing of gouache color or etching line width. His style is best described as surrealism, as he seems greatly interested inconcept-art, graphic novels and animated movies.
