I've always been into underwater photography. These are really nice and tell a story. I am fascinated at how they were done, or if they were the real deal. None the less, enjoy.

Ariel Photos

It is almost depressing how much of this i will not be able to see in my lifetime. But still, quite impressive.

Little Box Man

Arielle Nadel is a teenage photographer, and she is trying to use her camera to tell stories of her little Danboard. Instead of just putting Danboard in front of a background and call it a shot, Arielle manages to present Danboard as a real person who has real emotion. Follow us and see if Arielle has more stories to tell about herself and the little guy!

14 Rare Color Photos From the FSA-OWI

Even today, many documentary photographers will tell you they are influenced by the works of the Farm Security Administration in the 1930s and 40s. Under the direction of Roy Emerson Stryker, the FSA sent photographers to document the plight of the rural farmer during the Great Depression and the progress of New Deal programs. When the U.S. entered World War II, the photography program continued under the Office of War Information (OWI).

The best-known FSA photographs are in black and white. Less commonly seen are the color photos by FSA and OWI photographers, shot between 1939 and 1945. Below we present a selection from the works Library of Congress, Prints & Photographs Division, FSA-OWI Collection.

Naked Women Being Toutured

Well, I don't really know how I found this or what it really is. I find the work inspiring though. They mean something and tell stories and i like that.

HDR

Many people are surprised by the stunning effect HDR images present. Today we are here to introduce you another talent in the making of HDR images: Frank Slack. By following up the steps taught on the forums of the HDR group on Flickr, Frank picked up the techniques quickly though not having much experience in creating HDR images, or even photography. But now he is ready to show the world what he has got. If you want to know more about the amazing HDR images, you would not miss the interview below!

Cartoon Skeletons

Here are some stills from an exhibition at the natural history museum in Basel, Switzerland. It imagines what the bone structure of some cartoon characters may look like.
The show is called Animatus. South Korean artist Hyungkoo Lee uses the techniques of paleontologists to create the skeletons of familiar comic figures such.

NOVA's Elegant Universe

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/program.html
This is a three hour thing on quantum mechanics. Its really fascinating. The subject matter is really intense and if you didn't like Hans Bethe, you might like this. This is basically a PBS special or something like that and really does a good job of explaining things. The host guy is annoying and talks like he is talking to children and that gets a little annoying, by don't let that turn you off, he really has some awesome stuff to say and the whole program is pretty well done, albeit very cheesy. I recommend watching the whole thing.

Crazy English

1. The bandage was wound around the wound.

2. The farm was used to produce produce.

3. The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.

4. We must polish the Polish furniture.

5. He could lead if he would get the lead out.

6. The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.

7. Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present.

8. A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum.

9. When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes.

10. I did not object to the object.

11. I had to subject the subject to a series of tests.

12. The insurance was invalid for the invalid.

13. How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?

14. There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.

15. They were too close to the door to close it.

16. The buck does funny things when the does are present.

17. A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line.

18. To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow.

19. The wind was too strong to wind the sail.

20. After a number of injections my jaw got number.

21. Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear.

Let's face it - English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England or French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices? Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell? How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites?

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out and in which an alarm goes off by going on. English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race (which, of course, isn't a race at all). That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible.

The Art of Tony Millionare

I just read this book called the Art of Tony Millionaire. It was a portfolio of work by this comic book artist who draws some of the strangest things. I loved the book and read it very quickly. The man has lead a fascinating life has done a ton of stuff. I learned a lot about art from reading this book. Look him up and look at his art, it really is fascinating.
Here is a website that has some really interesting videos, I haven't watched them all, but boy are they out there. Quantum mechanics is crazy. ANYHOO, thought i would talk a bit about Little Shop. I have only really had two rehearsals and they have been very productive. I feel like a lot is getting done in a very reasonable amount of time. I find it difficult making comedic choices when i have the pressure of weather or not they will actually be funny. Well, hope you all come and see it.
